Enlisted

Webster's 1828 Dictionary:

1.To enroll; to register; to enter a name on a list.

Quotes:

"Do I need to hum a few bars of “We Are All Enlisted”? You know, the line about “We are waiting now for soldiers; who’ll volunteer?” Of course, the great thing about this call to arms is that we ask not for volunteers to fire a rifle or throw a hand grenade. No, we want battalions who will take as their weapons “every word that proceedeth forth from the mouth of God. So I am looking tonight for missionaries who will not voluntarily bind their tongues but will, with the Spirit of the Lord open their mouths and speak miracles." -Jeffry R Holland

 “When [we] joined this Church [we] enlisted to serve God. When [we] did that [we] left … neutral ground, and [we] never can get back on to it. Should [we] forsake the Master [we] enlisted to serve it will be by the instigation of the evil one, and [we] will follow his dictation and be his servant.”
-Joseph Smith

Scriptures:

I couldn't find any scriptures so instead I search for enrolled, and commissioned.
D&C 85:And it shall come to pass that I, the Lord God, will send one mighty and strong, holding the scepter of power in his hand, clothed with light for a covering, whose mouth shall utter words, eternal words; while his bowels shall be a fountain of truth, to set in order the house of God, and to arrange by lot the inheritances of the saints whose names are found, and the names of their fathers, and of their children, enrolled in the book of the law of God;

D&C 88:80 That ye may be prepared in all things when I shall send you again to magnify the calling whereunto I have called you, and the mission with which I have commissioned you.

D&C 138:30 But behold, from among the righteous, he organized his forces and appointed messengers, clothed with power and authority, and commissioned them to go forth and carry the light of the gospel to them that were in darkness, even to all the spirits of men; and thus was the gospel preached to the dead.

Song:

We are all enlisted till the conflict is o'er;

Happy are we! Happy are we!
Soldiers in the army, there's a bright crown in store;
We shall win and wear it by and by.
Haste to the battle, quick to the field;
Truth is our helmet, buckler, and shield.
Stand by our colors; proudly they wave!
We're joyfully, joyfully marching to our home.

My Thoughts:

Before we came to earth there was a war in heaven. During this war we were to choose between our Heavenly Fathers plan versus Satan's plan. I believe all of us that are here on earth chose God's side, and therefore were 'enlisted'

We chose before we were even born to be enlisted in a greater work. "To bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man" (Moses 1:39) It is not out work, it is God's work, and we are enlisted to do it.

Ease

Webster's Dictionary:
1. Rest; an undisturbed state. Applied to the body, freedom from pain, disturbance, excitement or annoyance. He sits at his ease. He takes his ease.

Scriptures:
Amos 6:1,
Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!
Psalms 25:13, His soul shall dwell at ease
; and his seed shall inherit the earth. 2 Nephi 28:24,
Therefore, woe be unto him that is at ease in Zion!
2 Chronicles 10:4,

Thy father made our yoke grievous: now therefore ease
thou somewhat the grievous servitude of thy father, and his heavy yoke that he put upon us, and we will serve thee.  Job 7:13.
When I say, My bed shall comfort me, my couch shall ease my complaint;

Quotes:
"...keeping commandments and calling upon God in order to have the ability to say with ease,

“I will go and do”" -Michael Ringwood
 "Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved." -Helen Keller
"He that would live in peace and at ease must not speak all he knows or all he sees.
-Benjamin Franklin"This is no time for ease and comfort. It is time to dare and endure."
-Winston Churchill"Never throughout history has a man who lived a life of ease left a name worth remembering."
-Theodore Roosevelt

Song:
Great God, Attend While Zion Sings.

  My Thoughts:
There is a time for ease, and a time for work. When we are at ease when we should not be, when we should be watching for the day of the Lord, Serving, or Working woe be it unto us that we are not! We are here to learn and while learning we should not be at ease.

But when we ask Christ to ease our burdens we are using it for the right reason. When we are easing others burdens we are using it for the right reason.

Education

Websters Dictionary"The bringing up as of a child; instruction, is intended to enlighten the understanding, correct the temper and form the manners and habits of youth and fit them for usefulness in their future stations"
Quotes"For members of the Church, education is not merely a good idea—it’s a commandment.
We are to learn "of things both in heaven and in the earth, and under the earth; things which
have been, things which are, things which must shortly come to pass; things which are at
home, things which are abroad."1"Joseph Smith loved learning even though he had few opportunities for formal education. In his journals, he spoke happily of days spent in study and often
expressed his love of learning."
-Dieter F Uchdorf from his talk " learn"
"We live in a world where knowledge is developing at an ever-accelerating rate. Drink deeply from this ever-springing well of wisdom and human experience.
—Gordon B. Hinckley, Teachings of Gordon B. Hinckley
Tips to have a better education:
Study the scriptures and other good books
Improve our ability to read, write, and do basic mathematics.
Learn to communicate effectively with others
Obtain formal education or equivalent training necessary for employment
For the youth:For the young men:
"I call your attention to another matter that gives me great concern. In revelation the Lord has mandated that this people get all the education they can. He has been very clear about this. But there is a troubling trend taking place. Elder Rolfe Kerr, Commissioner of Church Education, advises me that in the United States nearly 73 percent of young women graduate from high school, compared to 65 percent of young men. Young men are more likely to drop out of school than young women.
"Approximately 61 percent of young men enroll in college immediately following high school, compared to 72 percent for young women.
"In 1950, 70 percent of those enrolled in college were males, and 30 percent were females; by 2010 projections estimate 40 percent will be males, and 60 percent will be females.
And so I say to you young men, rise up and discipline yourself to take advantage of educational opportunities. Do you wish to marry a girl whose education has been far superior to your own? We speak of being ‘equally yoked.’ That applies, I think, to the matter of education."
"Women have earned more bachelor’s degrees than men every year since 1982 and more master’s degrees since 1986
For the young women:
Keep it up!!!!!
Scripture:"For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line,
precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken
unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto
him that receiveth I will give more; and from them that shall say, We have enough, from
them shall be taken away even that which they have."
Words:Enlighten, preparation, self improvement, home, understanding,
book, truth, wisdom, learning, gospel. children, study, knowledge,
teach, teaching, taught, learn.
Song:Teach me to walk
My Thoughts:I need a better education! I have gone through the "Love of Learning" phrase, but do I
really LOVE learning? I think that God LOVES learning, and I want to , too. I'm thankful for
the wonderful opportunity I have to learn and become someone better.
Take advantage of opportunities to gain more knowledge.
