Sensibility

Webster's 1828 Dictionary:

Susceptibility of impressions; the capacity for feeling or perceiving the impressions of external objects. Capacity of acuteness of perception; that quality of the soul which renders it susceptible of impressions; delicacy of feeling; as sensibility to pleasure or pain; sensibility to shame or praise; exquisite sensibility.

 Quotes:

"Light comes to us by the sensibility. Without visual sensibility there is no light, no movement."
-Robert Delaunay

"Nearly 200 years ago William Wordsworth wrote that “the world is too much with us.” What on earth would he say about the encroachments pressing in on your souls and sensibilities today? In addressing some of these problems facing you, we are mindful that an absolute multitude of youth are faithfully living the gospel and standing resolutely before the Lord."
-Jeffry R Holland

My thoughts:

We must have sense and sensibility-they balance each other out-yet the bounce off each other.  Sense is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and quiet. Sensibility is feeling, and reactions in your heart.
