Stewardship

Dictionary:

Stewardship is an ethic that embodies the responsible planning and management of resources.

Scriptures:

D&C 64:40 "If they are not faithful in their stewardship's shall be condemned, and others shall be planted in their stead."

D&C 70:4 "And an account of this stewardship will I require of them in the day of judgment."

D&C 70:8-9 "And the benefits shall be consecrated unto the inhabitants of Zion, and unto their generations, inasmuch as they become heirs according to the laws of the kingdom."
"Behold, this is what the Lord requires of every man in his stewardship, even as I, the Lord, have appointed or shall hereafter appoint unto any man."

Quotes:

A leader must be a good listener. He must be willing to take counsel. He must show a genuine concern and love for those under his stewardship.
-James E. Faust

“Clearly, those of us who have been entrusted with precious children have been given a sacred, noble stewardship, for we are the ones God has appointed to encircle today’s children with love and the fire of faith and an understanding of who they are”
-M Russel Ballard

My Thoughts:

We are given blessings in different forms (talents, people, objects, doctrines, etc) we have stewardship over these objects. Stewardship means that we need to take care of it, learn about it, understand it, and share it with others.
