Sanctified

Webster's 1828 Dictionary:

1. Made holy; consecrated; set apart for sacred services.
2. Affectedly holy.

Scriptures:

Genisis 2:1-3 "And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made."

Numbers 7:1 "And it came to pass on the day that Moses had fully set up the tabernacle, and had anointed it, and sanctified it, and all the instruments thereof, both the altar and all the vessels thereof, and had anointed them, and sanctified them;

 D&C 88:35 " 35 That which breaketh a law, and abideth not by law, but seeketh to become a law unto itself, and willeth to abide in sin, and altogether abideth in sin, cannot be sanctified by law, neither by mercy, justice, nor judgment. Therefore, they must remain filthy still."

Quotes:

He who is completely sanctified, or cleansed from all sin, and dies in this state,
is fit for glory. -Adam Clarke

We are also to be a sanctified instrument as well. Partly because of what we are to do but more importantly because of what we are to be, the prophets and apostles tell us to “flee … youthful lusts” and “call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” They tell us to be clean. -Jeffrey R Holland

Repenting and coming unto Christ through the covenants and ordinances of salvation are prerequisite to and a preparation for being sanctified by the reception of the Holy Ghost and standing spotless before God at the last day. -David A Bednar

My thoughts:

To be sanctified is to be holy, it is to be blessed by God. To be completely clean.
